Please update your software! It does not find the built-in mic!! I am using a new macbook pro with retina display…. It says no Mic volume detected… Checked the preferences too...

Chromatic Strobe tuner
Doesnt work properly and shuts down shortly after being opened. Lots of bugs - needs work.
Not good for analyzing at what pitch your voice is at while you speek. It will only give you a reading of the highest note and the one held longest. It would have been nice to have an adjustable horizontal bar on the graph to give a reference mark (e.g.220Hz). An off switch for the spinning wheels would be appreciated too.
sexy? no. Wonderful sound? yes. My family was flabberghasted that I would actually pay for software, but I did, and it was the right decision. Keeps my uke in tune, I think better even than my iPhone apps, and my dad is even able to test his own singing with it. Sweet! Thanks Ronald
I was looking for something to use to help me improve my intonation while practicing on my bass, and I came across this. Unfortunately, it is very quirky, making it slow to show a definite pitch, and I noticed that while I was playing my upright bass, it was unable to determine D and D# -- specifically, D3 and D#3. I did not take the time to check for any other problems because I have already deemed it useless to my purposes until the issues specified above are fixed.
I could not find a way to make this display the correct pitch. Some of the controls dont seem to work, or else I cant figure out what theyre for. Ive got a Peterson Strobe right here handy, but I wanted something in my computer that was easy to use, so that I didnt have to reach for anything else. Unless the creator of this is willing to show us how to make it display the right pitch (neither the right note name, nor the correct actual pitch -- it shows me to be wayyyy sharp when Im actually holding the Peterson Strobe still. (its calibrated daily with a tuning fork, which in turn has been checked for accuracy with many references) The microphone I use for this is not one of my expensive ones, but an inexpensive desktop mic by Blue. When using it for recording, its hard to tell the difference between it and most mid-grade studio mics. Im quite sure the mic is not the problem. Besides, I have many tuners associated with other software, and they all report the same pitch as the Peterson Strobe. This one is the odd one out. Its broken. Its a nice idea, and I think it will be well worth the money if the maker will fix it. (Written on January 19, 2012 for version 1.0.2) Shooshie
Tunes sharp, not at all precise
When tuning my guitar, an E on this is 33 cents past F on everything else. Its good for intonating, but useless as a tuner. Dont buy this.
I use to like this app. Used it everyday. Then I updated my original version as per the APP Stores recommendation. DO NOT,repeat DO NOT do this. Now my iChromatic Strobe Tuner no longer works. Thanks APP Store. Cindy Collins
Thoroughly unimpressed! I am a music major with plenty of experience on tuners. When the application actually stays open (it usually crashes within ten seconds) it is probably great. Unfourtunately I wouldnt know, it hasnt stayed open yet. I dont even know if this actually works like a strobe tuner or just looks like one. If it ever starts working Ill post those results as well. I bought this app to avoid paying much more for a hand held chromatic tuner and now I need to pay for both. This application is useless for anyone until the bugs are worked out. The support link is another great time waster. Click on the support button in the app store and you get routed to the sales page in the app store. It is a nice little circle that conveniently gets you nowhere.
I bought this stupid thing to have a faster way to tune my daughters viola and the stupid thing wont even work. It keeps quitting unexpectedly. What the ham and cheese!!!!!!!! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!!
When I first downloaded this app ,the circles just made me dizzy.It was like one of those "freak-out" posters from the 60s So I statrted using another tuning app and tried to tune my 12 string before i started to record. A 12-string can be a real...difficult to tune by ear , so I welcomed a little help to get it just right. To make a long story short, the other app just wasnt precise enough. So....... I revisted this app and went into the preferences and finally calibrated the circles to something I could actually understand. Finally ,my 12-string is in tune and rings like a bell. Im going to use it next on my autoharp (36 strings) Should be fun :)

Even with the Apogee Jam input, all the strobes did was flicker. Uninstalled and hoping to get a refund.

Just bought it and installed it. Doesn’t work..Audio settings correct. Want my money back or solution.

Seriously out of tune

I love the concept, but it has serious issues.
